When children run amok

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

I haven’t posted for a while because there’s just too much. I have a life and blogging this crazy American mess is like turning on a fire hose. I have better things to do than try to keep up with it all on a blog.

But here’s a venting summary.

Your president is an irresponsible, hyperactive, narcissistic child playing with matches. You all deserve it. You voted for him. Don’t think you’re excused because you voted for McCain. You still deserve it. You participated in the sham, thereby giving your approval to the outcome. The only Americans that don’t deserve this are those who didn’t vote at all or who voted third-party.

Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.
– George Washington

This is end-game. CNN looks a lot like Revelation and Daniel these days. Get right with God. This part’s almost over.

Barry’s puppeteers are burning America to the ground as fast as they can. A wise man recently said, “Power is never where it seems to be. Not, ‘sometimes isn’t.’ Not, ‘seldom is.’ It’s never where it seems to be. Wherever power appears to be is simply the mouthpiece and flak-catcher for the real power; just a distraction.”

I very slightly paraphrased him (only because I’m “quoting” from memory – it’s very, very close to verbatim) and he was paraphrasing an author from the 17th century. (Why does it seem that wisdom is never new?)

Nothing is as it is presented now and whatever is screaming for your attention is not important. It’s all orchestrated distraction. It’s “Harry Blackstone runs the government.” Look! Over here! Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

I’m no fan of Republicans at all. But at least they act like adults. I won’t be governed by children. That’s the primary distinction between Republicans and Democrats: Democrats act like 3-year-olds; they lie as naturally and effortlessly as they breathe, are incapable of reason, make ridiculous demands and then throw tantrums until they get their self-destructive way. Republicans are more like teenagers; they act like grown-ups but they’re still irresponsible and lacking judgment.

When the country’s struggling, adults don’t go on Jay Leno to brag about practicing bowling at the White House lanes. Adults don’t go on ESPN to talk about tournament basketball picks. They damn sure don’t go on 60 Minutes stoned.

Don’t kid yourself. The White House has the best sticky bud Mexico can supply. But only an emotional toddler would go on a respected news show giggling with droopy lids.

What were Dubya’s faults again? I don’t recall “National interview in a time of crisis while under the influence” as one of them. I’ve smoked weed and inhaled. Personally, I hate it. But I’ve been around enough stoners to recognize one when I see him on CBS Sunday night with Steve Kroft. America’s been dead for a while. The corpse is stinking a bit more than I can tolerate when the president is baking in a prominent interview.

This is what you get when you elect an inexperienced, self-professed druggie and communist organizer to the most powerful office in the world. As if.

Turbo Tax Timmy spent all our hope at the AIG gift shop.

All we have left is some change.
