God help us all if we start voting based on “good feelings,” Cowboy. I do hope at least you’ve watched Sarah Palin’s interviews. It’s a setback for women that this dunderhead was even selected at all, and reflects the demented judgement of a dotty old man who is completely out of touch with what this country needs.

Obama might not be perfect, but McCain/Palin would be an unmitigated disaster.

Pointing out the Carter-Reagan correlation and using that to support Obama is like throwing the season to get a first round draft pick. There’s no guarantee that next years first round draft pick will be a ringer.

Vox points out how, then mocks, the media spin that this is “the mostest importantest biggest election of forever” Yea, the media does that with elections. They’ll do that with anything and everything. Point in case, didn’t we just see the biggest mostest leastest destructive landfall of a hurricane ever?

It’s like a guy who’s who’s had 5 open heart surgeries, each one is pretty important. In fact, at the time, each surgery is probably the most important one, ever, while it’s occurring. The one’s in the past are history, the ones in the future aren’t even on the radar. It’s the one that is going on right now that will determine the immediate future, so it is kind of the most important election that is going on now.

Sarah does have integrity. If she says she’ll do something, she’ll do it. If she says someone is crooked, he’ll turn out to be crooked. She has integrity that I trust and respect. Fiscally, she does govern like a woman and that’s not a good thing if you’re opposed to Central Banks and money distribution systems based on need.

And I’m not going to fall for the smokescreen of the Obama camp. They talk as if it’s Obama vs. Palin. I expect a lot of voters are going to vote for Sarah, but end up electing McCain. How can they not see that.

I think they don’t like the real choices, so they’ll just do what makes them feel good. They are going to vote for Sarah and feel good about it.

I am wrong about many things. Please educate me.

Women who would have voted for Hillary because she is a woman and black people who will vote for Obama because he is black are misguided. I would love to see a woman in the White House. But that is not what would motivate my vote; I want the right person.

Hi Cowboy. Longtime no visit. Good to see you still blogging.
Interesting post, but I’m curious to know how it is that a Thinking Man is so easily swayed by mere words.

I completely concur that Palin is a Word Speaker. But a Believer? I don’t think I know her well enough to say with any degree of certainty. Just as Obama is given to rhetoric, how can you be sure that this woman is as she presents herself? I mean, do any of us really know her other than through a few sound bites? I believe even the Bible says something about people speaking with the tongues of angels…

This is a tough election. Neither side particularly impresses me, but I am left wondering after your analysis why a Bible-quoting believer would have teamed up with a man you as a Christian find so distasteful. Perhaps, like Hillary, she doesn’t mind tying herself to a sinner to get what she wants. Ambition can be a bitch. ;-)

But hey, Palin can still talk. And for some people that’s apparently enough. Hmm…

Hillary is not the smartest woman in the world. What exactly has she accomplished again?

Palin evil, puh-lease. Let’s have one examples.

I agree with DC that voting is a waste of time but I will vote a 3rd party.

This election does not energize me, but I find McCain/Palin to be the lesser of the evils. I cannot vote for Obama, who speaks in very pretty words about Socialism/Marxism. We all know that Socialism is NOT pretty. (see Russia, China, North Korea, and Cuba)

And Alexandra, you think Sarah Palin is Evil? I’m sorry, please adjust your tinfoil hat.

I agree with the first part of your blog. I don’t especially like either option for president.
Unfortunately, I find Sarah Palin to be evil. I understand that to be extreme, and I can give reasons if you really care, but I see her as the ultimate in wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing.
I do think her selection was a brilliant move on the part of McCain’s advisers.
Any woman who would have voted for Hillary Clinton who will now be voting for McCain/Palin because of Mrs Palin is an idiot. The only thing Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin have in common is a uterus. Any woman who would change her vote that way is saying to the world that she is only voting for the uterus, not for any other reason. And that is sad. More than that, it makes other women who have a brain in their heads look bad.

DC, I am glad to see you posting again. My good thoughts are with you. Take care.
