I can count on one hand the promises I’ve ever made to people I love and then broken.

I’ve lost track of how many promises I’ve made to myself and then broken.

    Don’t think that it’s true for everyone, Lisa. I could give you some psycho-babble about mental programs and how they work. But the bottom line is that it’s because people like me, you and heidi care more about others than about ourselves.

    I’m not so sure that’s necessarily a bad thing. I think we could put Jesus on that list.
