Just for you know (as Bane would say)

October 4th, 2005

I ain’t kiddin’ about “Tombstone.”

If ya got somethin’, bring it. I’ve seen the damn thing so many times, I can simply think about it and start seeing it in my head. First thing I hear is Curly Bill Brocius saying, “Y’all killed two Cowboys.”

Shocked ya with a “Tombstone” post, didn’t I?

“Next time we come, ya better step aside. I ain’t kiddin,’ neither.”

Maybe I should stop, but.. just for you know… I’m goin’ to watch it again.

Just ’cause I can!

  1. One of the best movies ever! I just saw it again, twice, this weekend, on TNT I think it was.
“You tell ‘em I’m coming, and I’m bringing hell with me!” is one of the best lines ever spoken.

  2. Okay, DC, you got me hooked. I couldn’t read your Tombstone category without having seen the movie, so I watched “High Noon” and “Tombstone” on the same day (knockin’ out two blog-birds with one stone – thanks to TentPegs for getting me hooked on another classic western!).

My fave line (and this may be a little butchered since I didn’t memorize it) has to be, “Are you going to do something, or are you just going to stand there bleeding?”

You are so right about this movie – the historical accuracy was amazing, and the life lessons are all over the place. I also loved seeing the tombstone of Lester More in the graveyard – yet another piece of historical accuracy!

  3. Another convert! I’m so proud.

You’ll have to watch it at least two more times to get most of it, Lisa. But you done well on the quote. It’s actually, “Ya gonna do something or just stand there and bleed?”

You get points for coming real close and also for trying.
