    ELENA!

    Stop that!

Just showin’ off how much I’ve learned from y’all. Note: learned in theory only, not yet practiced.

  5. Thus saith Michael Maier

    Yeah, RIGHT!

  6. A lady does not reveal her secrets. All I’ll say is that I have a treasure unopened that only my husband will get to experience. No other man will. And for a 29-year-old woman, that’s nigh on a miracle. Believe it or not…

  7. Thus saith Inquiring Minds

    Elena,
Given that you have guarded that treasure for 29 years, I think that your “confusion” in the previous posts (re: virtuous, silly or whore) was completely misplaced. There is no question into which catagory you fall.

(As if there was ever any question. Quality always shows itself.)

I’ve always told my wife that I married her because I knew I would never find anyone better; that has proven to be the case for twenty years, and I fully expect it to be the case for the rest of my life.

  8. Inquiring Minds:

Thank you for the compliments. Your response blessed me, sir. And your wife is blessed to be married to you. May your marriage continue to glorify God and bless others, as well as yourselves!

As to my confusion, I was not confused about the whore part—I know I am not one. I was just chewing on the various meanings of silly. In the usual vernacular these days, we don’t use the word silly to mean “frivolous” but to mean “humorous.” I was wanting to be sure of the connotation DC was choosing to use. (I’m a words person. *grin*)

Quality always shows itself. Not sure why it amazes me that people consider me quality, after getting to know me only a little and merely through the Internet. I know myself. But God knows me even better. And as John Ortberg, in his book Love Beyond Reason, points out…we believers should not accept any label on us that does not align with our identities in Christ. Thank you, Inquiring Minds, for speaking that encouraging word into my life. I think I’ll tack it up on the wall here in my office. :o)
