The South has risen again
May 8th, 2005For better or worse, the South did rise again. The South pretty much runs this country and has for a long time now. If you don’t believe me, go look at the current leadership of Congress. The Senate majority leadership is all from Southron states. Most of the House majority leadership is too.

The truth is, that the South rose again a long time ago. As I said earlier, that’s for better or worse, because Bill Clinton is from Arkansas. It doesn’t get much more redneck than that. During most of Slick Willy’s time in office, Gingrich was the Speaker of the House and Trent Lott was the Majority Leader in the Senate.
All Southrons. (Or as Brit Hume would phrase it, “Southrons, all.”)
The leftist rant that I linked to earlier in this post is lamenting the fact that a president cannot be elected without the southern states. Well, DUH!
That’s where America lives and why those states are all “red.” Get used to it.
Not that I’m gloating about it. I think the “red states” are so confused and corrupted now that it makes little difference. It’s like putting the brakes on when you’ve already gone off the cliff.

That’s why I don’t believe a successful secessionist movement will ever occur prior to our country exploding/imploding (i.e. burning like Rome). Most people are too apathetic, complacent, or truly believe that we have the government founded during the American Revolution. The rest (socialists) don’t like the government as it was established and are happy to see it change.

Wow – I finally followed the link. That person’s ignorance astounds me. They’re angry that the North’s taxes are given by the Feds to the South, but what they obviously don’t realize is that the North stripped the South of its natural resources during the “reconstruction” and that the South has never recovered. Believe me, I wish the North had let the South secede too!

Maybe we could just relocate Orange County to the South. It would fit nicely right there in gulf in Northwest Florida and then we could just annex the Florida pan handle.

Yes. So many that I got bored with counting by the second paragraph. The amount of “truth” in that screed is so close to zero as to not matter. Even the the few things that are technically, factually correct – and they are few – are twisted and misused to create falsity.
That’s why I said it’s a typical leftist: Educated until they think they are intelligent and possessing that beautiful combination of arrogance, ignorance and hostility.
