More religious debunking
March 24th, 2005Today is the day we should have commemorated the sacrificial death of Christ.
Religious people will “celebrate” it on Friday.
He was crucified on Wednesday. As Serena said elsewhere, “Do the math.”
Three nights. Three days. (Jonah 1:17, Matthew 12:40)
He also was not raised from the dead on Sunday morning. He was raised on Saturday evening. But then if you’re religious, you don’t have the Sabbath figured out, either. Unless you’re Jewish.
Ever wonder why the secular celebration of Easter is all about eggs and rabbits?
The catholic “church” merged the death and resurrection of our Savior with a pagan holiday to make their religion palatable to the pagans they were trying to convert. Easter is a pagan holiday celebrating Spring and its fertility gods.
It’s really kind of sad (and telling) that in all the years since Martin Luther, the protestant religions haven’t figured that out and they’re still fighting over “predestination.” How stupid.
This coming Saturday night, my children and I will (symbolically) celebrate the resurrection of our Savior. We will do it with teaching, Communion and prayer that will include prayer for those deceived by the Easter Bunny and religion.
Seriously. Give it some thought.
Ha! I was just telling my friend this yesterday and he was getting mad at me. IT HAD TO BE FRIDAY he exclaimed.
Then, as he realized his argument is slipping away, he said which day it was didn’t really matter anyway.
The word “Easter” was derived from “Ishtar”. Ishtar eggs are symbolic of the seed of the serpent. “Ishtar” and “Astarte” are both synonymous with Semiramis, who was the wife of Nimrod. Nimrod was descendant of Cush and Ham. Ham saw his father Noah naked, and took pleasure in that. He was then exiled to Egypt. Nimrod would later build the Tower of Babel. The evil that is Ham, Cush, Nimrod and Semiramis, is ever present in our lives today, and evidence of that is as close as the dollar bill in your pocket. Just check the back!
I only point this out to emphasize the particularily nefarious nature of religion using “Easter” to commemorate the most important event on the Christian calendar.
DC,
You might find it interesting that the celebration of the Resurrection of our Messiah coincides with Firstfruits in the scripture which happened on the shabbat after Passover. Yeshua is the firstfruits of the resurrection as scripture teaches. Actually the first barley is ripe in Israel since it was in the Aviv stage of ripening a few days before the new moon. Since scripture says that is when Passover is to be celebrated, we celebrated Passover on Thursday night this year. The religious rabbinic calendar is wrong this year. The “church’s” Easter is usually not planned to happen at Passover, which is wrong because it is the fulfillment of Passover and the Firstfruits offering of the barley. According to the calendar, it looks like it didn’t happen at Passover this year, but according to YHWH’s calendar it did.
Daniel says that Messiah would be cut off in the middle of the week. The last I figured it, Wednesday is the middle of the week. It is important that we get which day He died right. The scripture is accurate about these things and if we desire the truth, we will be, too. Too bad Difster’s friend doesn’t think so.
I’m glad you are teaching your children the truth, DC. Well, I had better get off of here since we are getting lightning and thunder.
Love and shalom,
Serena
Oops! I meant to say that Firstfruits is on the day after the Shabbat after Passover and always falls on the first day of the week, as well as Shavuot(The Feast of Weeks or commonly known as Pentecost). Today was the beginning of the count of 50 days which will encompass 7 shabbats with the 50th day the day after the 7th shabbat. I was in a hurry to get off of here because of a storm so I could shut down the computer and didn’t proof-read. I’m sorry for the mess-up.
We rent the parsonage of a church and this morning had the “delight” of having several adults walk over into our yard and place easter eggs all over it and a little while later having our yard teeming with adults and children finding those eggs, even right under our windows. We really could not believe it! We weren’t even warned or asked if it was okay with us. I think their time would have been better spent on their faces before their Maker considering the condition our nation is in, instead of promoting a pagan custom. It was amazing also how many people showed up there this morning as opposed to any other morning. I’m so sick of religion!
Love and shalom,
Serena
Dumpster Juice,
So did you read “The Two Babylons”? You are right on in what you have presented about Semiramis and Nimrod, etc. It is a fascinating study. Our lives have changed quite a bit since we learned all that. We sure don’t fit in with the those that do Easter and Christmas very well anymore.
Shalom,
Serena
Serena,
Actually, I have read “Scarlet and the Beast” vol.II, by John Daniel. But ,in learning more about the cult of Freemasonry, I have seen the same references in many other materials. I will look into “The Two Babylons” if you recommend it.
Although I am leary when Christians go around predicting the exact date of Christ’s return, and make positive assertions about whom the anti-christ is, I think a strong case can be made that anti-christ will come out of Freemasonry. There is no question that Freemasonry is a Satanic religion. And there is no question that it has a huge influence on our government. Witness the number of presidents, representatives, and justices who have all been Masons. The Washington Monument is an obelisk which is phallic and Satanic. The layout of Washington D.C. includes a baphomet and an owl. And then of course are the Masonic and Satanic symbols on our money, it is eerie. I believe a strong case could be made that Freemasonry is the Mystery Babylon of the Book of Revelation.
Satan, by definition, accomplishes his work through deception. Conversely, if he were to try and accomplish his work through forthright , honest means, his work would be nullified. So, when I see the deception of the income tax, the deception of Federal Reserve (a private bank), and so on, I can only come to the conclusion that Satan is hard at work in our government, and most Christians don’t even know about it.
Is there something wrong with the Easter Bunny? I realize that it is secular, but I have no issue with a concept that makes love understandable to those who are unable to conceptualize. Love, faith, and sharing. And what is wrong with paganism? If there is only one truth, pagans are really worshiping God anyway.
If I had to place bets, I would be inclined to say that all of us, meaning religion and individuals, have it completely wrong. What seems to be consistent, and what I hope to be true is that we are supposed to love each other. My belief is that we are here on this planet to love, to learn, and to share. Anything else is just static on the line.
